RFX source unit installation considerations

What are installation issues I should be aware of when installing an RFX source unit?

Operational Voltage 

For reliable performance from a RFX source unit, it is recommended that the input voltage range should be +10.8 volts to +16.0 volts DC (Direct Current).

Operational Temperature

Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is between -10° C and +65° C (+14°F and +149°F). DO NOT play a disc if the temperature is higher or lower than the operating range.

 Mounting

The mounting position of your source unit will have a great effect on the performance of your in dash CD player. The source unit can be installed in a wide range of operating locations. It is recommended that the source unit should be mounted within ±20° from horizontal.
 

Speaker Impedance 

Most all RFX source units have a built in amplifier that can drive a minimum speaker Impedance of 2-Ohms per channel. It is important that you do not connect a speaker system to a RFX source units built in amplifier that results in an impedance lower than the minimum recommended.
