RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION
Installation in combination with a PP4-X crossover and Punch Pro mid:
- When using a Punch Pro tweeter in combination with a Punch Pro midrange and crossover system, the power output is the same to both speakers based on the rated output of the amplifier. This can potentially damage the tweeter unless you reduce the power going to the tweeter.
- DO NOT connect the Punch Pro crossover to an amplifier channel that exceeds its power rating of 125 watts RMS.
- DO set the attenuation circuit to -6dB when using the PP4-X crossover in combination with the PP4-T or PP4-NT. This will reduce the power output to the tweeter to a safer range and help protect from overpowering issues.
ALTERNATE INSTALLATION
Connected directly to an amplifier (NO PP4-X used):
- Overpowering the tweeter can result in damage.
- DO NOT connect a Punch Pro tweeter to an amplifier channel that exceeds its power rating of 50 watts RMS.
- DO use an external high-pass crossover prior to the tweeter with a minimum frequency setting of 4 kHz or above and a slope of 24dB/Oct to provide to most low frequency protection possible. This can be located in the amplifier or a processor prior to the amplifier.
