My POWER series amplifier fuse has "arc welded" itself to the bult-in fuse block. How do I fix this?BULLETIN NOTES SERVICE ADVISORY
Recently, it has come to our attention that some Power Series amplifiers have been shipped into the field with the power fuse inadequately tightened in the fuse holder. Installing the amplifier with the fuse inadequately tightened could lead to failure due to the heat generated in a less than optimum connection between the fuse and fuse holder. To address this, we have already begun using lock washers between the screw and fuse in the production process to insure this connection is tight and remains tight. Unfortunately, some amplifiers were shipped into the field with the lock washer under the fuse and not between the fuse and the screw. Rockford Authorized Dealers can request a supply of lock washers through our customer service department.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Verify that the screws holding the fuse in the fuse holder are both adequately tightened – it will be necessary to use a # 3 Phillips screwdriver to do so. Furthermore,we strongly recommend the use of lock washers between the screws and fuse to prevent these screws from coming loose.
