To remove the cover:
Connecting Punch CPPSANL1 |
Connecting Punch CPPSFD2 |
To remove the cover:
- On the output side of the distribution block, gently press in on the center of the cover. The cover will unhook from the base and can be lifted off. While the highest grade of Polycarbonate is used, breakage of the cover hooks can occur if care is not used.
- Starting at the input side of the block, do the following. Unscrew the compression ring from the metal block. To use the compression style fitting, strip the jacket of the power wire back enough, usually _”, so that is extends 3/8” beyond the end of the collar. Insert the wire through the compression ring and fold the stripped end of the wire back over the compression ring collar in an even manor. It is much easier to do this if high strand count wire is used such as any Rockford Fosgate power and ground wire.
- Insert the compression ring into the metal block. Using a _” wrench, turn the compression ring till tight. If the compression ring will not tighten, make sure that the strands of the wire are not overlapping the threads of the compression ring.
- To install the output wire, do the following. With the fuse or ground bar removed, slide the metal block back toward the input side of the block and lift up. You now have the metal block in your hand. Install the wires as above and slide the metal block back into the base.
- Reattach the fuse or ground block.
